Dear Paul,
I am a customer of yours currently building a 115 GTV racecar. My plan has been to machine the stock flywheel as light as possible.
Last weekend I instructed in a nice fellow's 1750 GTV. He recently had his flywheel lightened for a fresh engine. Half way up the back straight at 100mph the flywheel grenaded. No piece larger than a walnut was found. Also missing were the bell housing and the back side of the block. Headers and starter were also trashed. I could not get a good look at the transmission, but that could not have been a pleasant separation. I have never witnessed such utter destruction in an automobile.
I will soon be buying one of your flywheel and clutch packages.
Kindest Regards,
